Engineering

This year I am most proud of my Exploravision project. For this project we were tasked with creating a product that uses one of the United Nation's global goals. My group chose to reach the goal of easy access to clean water. We did this by building on another version of an already existing product. We took a hippo roller, a rolling unit used for water transportation, and outfitted it with an alternator to generate power which fed into a battery. From the battery the power fed into a UV light which can filter most harmful substances from water in under 2 minutes.

I think this was not just my best work in this class but also my best work this whole year. This project stretched me to explore what was unknown to me and to learn things i never had a clue about. This project also taught me how to work better with others by being empathetic and realizing that everyone has a busy schedule even if they are busy in a different way than me. I also learned how important it is to stay to the schedule that me team set for ourselves as the more the project progressed the more I realized the tasks we didn't procrastinate turned out much better. This project was something I learned a lot from, but also grew a lot during, making it my best work this year.

Here is the link to my final blogpost on this project and my processes on this as well as other projects from this class this year.
